Our Olympians

An enormous well done to our athlete mentors Joe Clarke and Yona Knight-Wisdom, who have been competing in Paris this summer - both inspirational role models, we are hugely proud of you!

Joe Clarke took the silver medal for kayak cross, an event making its Olympic debut. A high octane challenge - the race was super exciting!

His success has contributed to the best haul of medals in the canoe slalom that Team GB has ever had at an Olympics.

Yona Knight-Wisdom narrowly missed out on the 3m Springboard Diving Finals, however had the great honour of being picked as men’s captain of the Jamaican team.

Pictured here with fellow team captain, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Yona has been a brilliant ambassador for his country.

It’s widely recognised that sport requires a high degree of discipline, responsibility and perseverance. Athletes have proven leadership qualities, positive mind-set and communications skills. They know how to achieve their goals and apply resilience during the highs and lows of competitive sport and life. The positivity of their can-do, never quit attitude could benefit us all.

We are proud to work with elite athletes across the world of sport. We provide specialist training to enable these sportspeople to harness their unique skillset and pass it on to others, working directly with young people and also with our corporate partners. It’s a winning combination which gets incredible results, as one young person shares:

It’s definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with elite athletes. You have to take these opportunities when you see them. I’m grateful that I got the chance to meet them, it’s been amazing for me. Not many people have this opportunity so it’s great.
